Conceal & Carry Gun Certificate Program

Successful completion of this one day course qualifies you to take the next step for a Minnesota Concealed Carry certificate. To apply for a personal permit, take this certificate to your local sheriff’s office to submit with your application. The sheriff will charge a fee to process this application which will be valid for five years when approved.

- Firearms and the law: Possession, Ownership, and the use of deadly force.
- Strategies for home safety and responding to a violent confrontation.
- Selecting a handgun for self-defense.
- Shooting activities with 70% required to pass
Minnesota Association of Defensive Firearms Instructors (MADFI) qualified instructor: Bring the following material:
1. Pistol
2. 100 rounds of factory ammunition
3. Eye and Ear protection

Currently, the Minnesota permit is currently recognized in the following states: Alaska, Arizona, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, Montana, New Mexico, Okalahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Virginia and Vermont
